Collected, named, and introduced by Mark Collins of Plant Group Hawaii. Stems are purplish and pubescent. Leaves are narrowly elliptic. Upper surface of leaves are coarse where as underside is pubescent. Inflorescence is terminal and typical orientated downward. Bracts are green to maroon and foliaecous with a ruffle like look. Flowers are pinkish-white.
