American Small Business Champion

We are proud and honored to announce that Plant Group Hawaii was chosen as an American Small Business Champion by SCORE and Sam’s Club.

The American Small Business Championship (championship.score.org) awarded this title to 102 small businesses, two in every state and the District of Columbia, for their dedication to the success of their businesses. Each state winner was awarded a $1,000 Sam’s Club gift card, an all-expense-paid trip to a training and networking event in Dallas, TX, SCORE mentoring and publicity throughout the year. Each Champion is also eligible for one of three $25,000 grand prizes which will be awarded in August.

The prizes, training, publicity, and SCORE mentoring we have been awarded will help us take our business to the next level, and better serve you, our customers. We attended the training event in March and it went very well.

With the awarded funds, we extended our expedition in Thailand. While there we visited local plant markets, botanical gardens, and found rare gingers growing in the north near the Thai-Myanmar border.

We are eager to apply what we learned in Dallas to our business operation here in Hawaii. We also can’t wait to provide you with the new material we collected! Thank you for your loyalty and help supporting our business. Stay tuned for news to come!
